Evo opened her eyes, done making sure the school was in top notch for the new year. She stood on the top stairs. To her sides were two stair cases that led to the front towers, in front of her was a decent sized hall, the main school doors at the end of the hall, two doors were off to the side of the main hall one lead to the great hall the other was to the library. Behind her was another hall that held the doors to the class rooms. Turning back to the main door she placed a practiced smile on her face and snapped brightening, the dull lights, they stayed dull but you could see everything clearly. Floating just above the floor and giving the glossy, waxed floors a blue tint. Lacing her fingers behind her back she waited to for her students to join her.
(Consider this an opening ceremony. Everyone may join and this is so every one can get to know each other. )

Katie walked through the front door. Her blood red dress floated around her ankles as she walked towards the main hall. She flicked her hair out of her face as she sat down in the hall. She nodded at Evo as she settled down for the Opening Ceremony. She looked around the hall. It was crowded with people like her, paranormals. She sighed and shuffled slightly on the wooden bench.
The school was nice, it was so old fashioned. It felt like home. Katie hadn't thought of home in decades, it brought back the memory of her parent’s death. She looked down at her pale hands resting on her lap. It was odd, considering her skin used to be a darker colour. She shook her head, it was best not to remember those thoughts and start crying in front of everyone.
Katie looked around the hall; the smell of werewolves, vampires, witches, wizards and lots of other paranormals was overwhelming. She shook her head trying to get rid of the dizziness she was experiencing. She again fidgeted, the seat was uncomfortable. It was probably the dress she was wearing, considering all the layers she was wearing. Katie looked around the room to see if she could see anyone who looked interesting enough to talk to.

The school smelled old to him, like how he remembered library's to smell: musky, like old books, but pleasant. It was hard to enjoy though, the scent was so muddled by others. The room was full of creatures, other monsters like him giving off their own individual reeks. It was dizzying and he was glad he was sitting down; the stench might have knocked him off his feet otherwise. This was definitely going to take some getting used to.
Leviticus sat fidgeting at a table in the corner of the vast hall, his blue eyes searching the room, simultaneously curious and seething. It was too crowded here, too noisy, too bright. His skin felt hot under the cover of his sleeves and his eyes burned behind dark tinted glasses trying to adjust to the blinding artificial light in the room. Levi looked down at his hands splayed across the wooden tabletops watching the bones of his hands move grotesquely beneath the papery white skin as he thrummed out the wild sounds of the beating hearts around him. It was like music. Erratic and frantic like some of the songs his band used to play, comforting to him in its distortion. He stayed focused on that and that alone. He had to or he’d go mad. This was too much… far too much.

The main hall was filled with a mixture of smells that tingled the inside of Artemis Flynn’s nostrils. She drew a deep breath as a smile pulled at the ends of her lips. It was a true relief to finally feel secure like she once did back home, in Ireland, before the death of her pack. Deep down however she felt a sense of nervousness from being surrounded by so many new faces and species of people; the red head would never let that be known to others though. So Artemis swallowed the butterflies and thought it best to introduce herself to her new fellow students. Taking a gander around the room her large emerald green eyes caught sight of a male vampire sitting alone at a table in the corner of the hallway. He appeared to be uneasy with his expressionless face and finger drum playing on the top of the table. As she made her way towards him she caught herself bobbing her head to the beat; for only having a table to play on the boy was pretty good.
“’Ey there, names Artemis.” She greeted him with her thick Irish accent while taking her hand out of her leather jacket pocket and extending it towards him from across the table. As their hands made contact, Artemis instinctively leaned in closer towards him in order to get a clear scent of his aroma. The odd look she was given made her realize that she probably looked a bit weird and she could not help but let out a giggle, “My apologies, can’t help it really. So what instrument do you play?” She popped the question out hoping that he would just brush off that somewhat awkward moment.

The young vampire started at the sound of the heavily accented voice. His fingers fell still resuming their grip on the table. He cut his blue eyes up at her after pushing his glasses back into their proper place. The girl in front of him smelled heavily of dog but her appearance was far from canine—presently at least. She was a lot prettier than he’d imagined a werewolf to be. A weak smile came to Levi’s face but the expression appeared to be more of a grimace. The expression immediately deteriorated though when the redhead grabbed his hand and leaned in toward him and…sniffed him. Startled, he drew away from her with wide and confused eyes. If Levi’s heart still pumped blood through his body he knew his cheeks would have reddened with embarrassment, but instead they remained a flat, unexpressive white. “Um… hi,” he mumbled as the girl introduced herself. He tried to smile again, not wanting to appear too unfriendly. “I’m uh… Levi.” He hadn’t had a real conversation since he turned, so actually speaking to someone felt like a whole new experience to him. He wasn’t really sure if he liked it or not yet. The girl’s—Artemis so she called herself; Levi made a mental note to remember it—question confused him for a moment before he remember he had been tapping on the table. He looked down at his hands for a moment before glancing back up at her. “Guitar mostly, but I’ll play anything.” The mention of music relaxed him a bit and brought more strength to his smile.

John floated above the crowds, looking down upon the different groups of vampires, lycanthropes, other ghosts, humans, and magic users. Below, a werewolf approached another vampire, by the names of Artemis and Leviticus. He cruelly smiled down at the little monsters, already planning on ways to torture them with his gruelling academic course. "Evo..." his voice sounded dull across the space. "Would you care to introduce yourself, and me?" He was still faded into his transluctent state, so the voice seemd to come from no where.
John could already tell that he'd be liking his first class. He'd be feeling such schadenfreude. He laughed as he walked over to the AI, before Evo could begin speaking.

Katie noticed the ghost walking down the middle of the room towards Evo. He looked creepy and Katie wanted to stay as far away as possible. She looked back down at her hands hoping the ghost had not spotted her watching him. She could see that she was shaking slightly; it was probably because of the dizziness.
Katie picked up the glass of water in front of her and sipped, trying to get rid of the sick feeling in her stomach. She sighed to herself for being so weak around other paranormals. It was annoying to say the least that she could not stay in a room without feeling sick. She looked up and scanned the room again, looking for anything that looked remotely interesting. She saw nothing and looked back at Evo and the creepy ghost man. She sighed again and placed her elbow on the table and leaned on her palm, deciding she might as well get comfortable if she was going to sit through this.

Evo watched with interest as the students mingled. They may have not seemed it but even they acted human. Half of the battle was done. She thought to her self with mild amusement, flinching when a glitch ran through her painfully she tightened her virtual muscles to force the pain back. Placing another smile on her face she glance up to John. A ghost she had hired months before the school had opened for the new year. "Hello." She nodded to him before brushing her hair over her shoulder. "Soon John, let the children mingle. They need to feel welcome and calm. I wont have wars going on." Evo smiled even as a glitch hit the side of her face painfully. "How are you John? Its been a while since we spoke."

"That looks kind of painful." John remarked casually upon seeing the AI's face spasm. "I've been doing well, the professor apartments are quite comfortable, if rather lonely." His voice grew a little softer at that. "But back to topic. Wars happen all the time. Whether they be started by outside influences, i.e. us, or by disagreements that they may have among themselves. Nothing we can do about it except severely and horribly punish them if they do start anything." John made sure his voice carried over the crowd so they'd know what kind of consequences they would bring upon themselves for fighting.
"But, I'm sure you're right. I mean the headmaster made you, and they do know best from what I've heard. When will I have the chance to meet them? Do you even know who they are?" The ghost flickered in and out of sight as he spoke, his subtle shifting from one position to another made even more eerie by his sudden solidity, then not.

The place was crowded. He hated crowds, the smells of their skin rushed to his nose in such a hard hit, his stomach twisted in hard knots of pain. Zakk leaned back against the wall furthest from the crowds of paranormals and humans. The male hated this crowded place, his senses ran on hay-wire because of them. He wanted nothing more than to get out of the room.
Zakk sighed knowing he couldn't just run out, he might miss out on....well there wasn't much he could miss, but things were to hard to explain. Groaning the werewolf fell back against the wall. Maybe coming here was a bad day.

Anxiety prickled Cillian’s skin as he entered the main hall. He could feel that he was surrounded by monsters, creatures that would just as soon as eat him as look at him. He knew he should be afraid, any sane person would be afraid, but Cillian felt as if he had lost the right to sanity. The young man’s handsome face harbored a grin so smug and dangerous that it would seem more at home on a shark. He grazed past groups of paranormals, flashing that smile at all who turned to look at him. He could see the tiny huddle of his own kind in one corner of the room, but he had no intention of joining them; he wasn’t here to socialize with his own species. No, he was here to learn about these monsters around him, and what better way to learn about them than to mingle with them?
Cillian’s eyes scanned the crowded room for the prime candidate. He couldn’t help but shudder when he glimpsed the pixilated blue woman and the ghost hovering at her side; even the administration was abnormal. Collecting himself, Cillian’s wandering eyes settled on a lone boy slouched against a wall. Vulnerable. Alone. He was perfect. The human strode over to the boy against the wall. By the way his stomach churned as he approached, Cillian could tell that this boy was of the canine-persuasion. Even better.
“Hey,” Cillian called down to him. The smile the human wore was trusting and friendly, but any positive feeling it might have conveyed was dampened by the dark, puckered scars marring his face. “Mind if I join you?”

Zakk flinched when someone spoke up near him. He felt the bit of hair on his skin stand on end like an electirc current through him. Looking up he was assulted with green eyes and the positive smell of human. Breathing in he was sure the creature next to him was in fact a nonparanormal. Swallowing the nervousness in his chest he nodded at the male, allowing him to join his company. He had heard humans were in the school, but he was sure that they would stick together in the huddled crowd near the windows.
Glancing at the male next to him, Zakk breathed in his sent comforting himself with the human smell he missed so much. Swallowing again he shoved his twitching hands in his pockets and shrugged slightly. " 'm Zakk..." He muttered just barely over his breath, the words were quiet and it was spoken in a way that some would wonder if he really said something or not.

Cillian flashed the werewolf a smile as he slid down to the ground next to him. He crossed his ankles placing one heavy black boot over the other. The wall was cold against his back as he leaned against it. The young wolf-boy seemed to be really nervous and the irony of it wasn’t lost on Cillian. He chuckled to himself at the thought: a monster afraid of something that is so fragile in comparison. The young human let his attention roam around the room as he studied the little creatures scurrying around, most of them looking lost and anxious. "Hm?” Cillian murmured when he heard a sound come from the werewolf’s direction. He managed to capture the last word which he assumed was the creature’s name. That wide smile crept back to Cil’s face; it almost looked like that expression was a permanent fixture there. “Zakk, huh? Nice to meet you.” He offered a hand out, the light catching the scar tissue on his palms. “I’m Cillian.”
